Scavenger Dive boat has been adopted by Scavenger Dive Boat Club as its club boat.
As of 23rd July 2020, the club was made official as a Branch of BSAC (BSAC B2607) for the purposes of facilitating club diving from Scavenger, although it is open to divers from any agency.
Her insurance is underwritten with Navigators & General Insurance Company Limited.
She was inspected in January 2017 and her five yearly re-inspection is due Jan 2022.
She can only be skippered by MCA qualified skippers (or equivalents) and crewed by suitably qualified and trained personnel.
Scavenger Boat Diving club is a members’ club formed for the purpose of sport or pleasure diving for its members or their immediate family (although this doesn’t stop or affect any membership of any other club with BSAC or any other agency).
As a member of Scavenger Dive Boat Club you are automatically covered for third party insurance if you are an existing member of BSAC, or if not, then as a guest with us.
In addition, our insurance covers you whilst on the boat for all the diving activities linked to Scavenger Dive Boat club, however please note that liabilities to divers are excluded from the time of going overboard until safely back onboard.
Any monies paid to Scavenger Dive Boat Club for a club diving day or weekend, will go through the club accounts and be used for the purposes of running the club and facilitating diving from Scavenger.
There are no employees of the club and no one profits from the club.
Scavenger cruises around 6knotts, she isn’t a fast boat – but she is very stable and an excellent dive platform. The boat is setup for 10 divers, with two of those spaces dedicated to crew so as to allow them to dive, in addition to our non diving crew.
When we travel to and from dive sites its a leisurely experience, and we work with the tides to aid our travel.
We’re happy to dive anywhere around Pembrokeshire and will relocate the boat accordingly.
Main Boat Facilities;
- Diver Lift
- VHF x 2
- Depth Sounder
- Side Scan Sonar
- Dive Ladder
- Life Raft for 12 persons (service lease from LGS in Pembroke Dock)
The boat is available to book individual spaces on, and also to book other clubs days out. We usually charge from £40 to £50 a person per day, dependant on numbers – if we go further afield, we sometimes charge more.
Hot drinks, soup and cake are served every day whilst out at sea.
If you have any questions, please ask.
